MARK JOY: EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/PRODUCER
Mark Joy, respected actor turned producer, has been an active member of the East Coast film community for over 23 years. His performance credits include co-starring roles in many films, including “Black Rainbow”, “Pecker”, “Perfect Daughter”, The Memoirs of Sally Hemings”, “Luv Struck” and John Grisham’s “Mickey” in which he co-starred with Harry Connick Jr. Mark’s most recent theatrical work includes Big Momma’s House 2, Dismal, The Way of War, EyeBorgs, Dog Days of Summer and Red Dirt Rising. Recent television work includesthe WB series, “One Tree Hill”, NBC’s “Surface”, and The Wire for HBO. Mark’s short film, “Beast of Burden”, which he created, produced and starred in, is currently making the festival rounds and picking up numerous awards. He has worked on over 65 films, over 40 network series episodes, and in countless commercial and corporate projects. His work also includes numerous writing and producing credits in commercial and corporate productions. After living and working in entertainment for a time in New York and Los Angeles, Joy made a lifestyle choice and has now lived in Virginia for many years. |

CHRIS WILLIAMS: DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
Chris’ film experience started in 1997 when he acquired a one-year, literary film rights option from Tantalus Publishing Company for author Marc Miller’s DARK CONSPIRACY series that was picked up by John Michael-Maas’ (HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, DIE HARD 2). In the fall of 2001, having created a collection of quality work, Chris submitted his latest full length screenplay, KILLER DEAL, and short film screen play, SOLITUDE, to seven national and international competitions and festivals. SOLITUDE was his first motion picture as a producer and director and has received critical acclaim for its originality and intelligent themes and was recently an Official Selection of the New York International Independent Film Festival. It was also picked up by +Entertainment for distribution and was marketed at the worlds largest film market, the AFM and now is available on DVD on Amazon.com. In 2006 he and his team were named Virginia Filmmakers of The Year for his work on the film LA BAS and in 2007 partnered with Mark Joy on the award winning pilot BEAST OF BURDEN. He continues his work in Richmond, VA as a freelance national and regional commercial director, editor and producer where has worked on productions ranging from retailers to government offices and the 2004 Presidential Campaign where two TV spots were featured on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. |

RAY BROWN: PRODUCER/LINE PRODUCER In over 20 years in the television and motion picture industry, Ray has worked alongside directors Steven Spielberg, John Frankenhiemer, Terrence Malick, Kathy Bates, Bob Clark and many others. He has worked on wildly successful films such as The New World, Minority Report, Cold Mountain, Rules of Engagement, The Replacements and Cry Wolf – as well as television shows such as Six Feet Under (HBO), Wallace (TNT), Into the Fire (USA), The FBI Files (Discovery) and The Ransom of Red Chief (Disney). Known throughout the industry for his ability to lead a team to its best work, Ray brought his passion and unrivaled professionalism to Dismal as director and producer and then followed through to execute a profitable domestic distribution deal. |

MAURA SODEN: PRODUCER/DIRECTOR Ms. Soden has worn many hats throughout her 25 year career in the entertainment industry. She has worked as a casting director, writer, stylist, actress and producer. She has also worked in every genre of the business from sit-coms to reality shows to commercials. She gained experience as assistant to the director on NBC's "Golden Girls" and later found herself as a post production supervisor on Fox's "Totally Hidden Video". She became a staff producer at InFinnity Productions specializing in infomercials and later moved to Wild West Media as a commercial producer. Maura also worked as the Production Manager for Animal Planet's series, "That's My Baby". Her producing skills were honored in 2002 when her short film, Rush of the Palms, won Best Short in the Festival Internacional de Cinema. Her documentary, "Forgotten Grave", won the best film in its category at the Zoie Film Festival and on ifilm.com. She also shared a NIMA award for best infomercial production for "Jack Nicklaus' Golden Bear Putter." Soden is a long standing member of Women In Film and The Television Academy. She is a co-founder of AdVerb, Inc. and owner of Take Flight Films, Los Angeles based production companies. Her greatest production to date, however, is her daughter, Callahan Rose. Maura is the Los Angeles partner for Story Teller Pictures. |

VERNON GUINN: PRODUCER/DIRECTOR/1st AD Vernon has been in the Film and Television business for seventeen years, starting as an assistant to Tom Fontana (Exec.Producer- Homicide Life on The Street, OZ.) in New York. He has done shooting schedules and ran the set as a 1st AD and Production Supervisor on hundreds of hours of network television series and feature films. Vernon is highly versed in all levels of production from pre to post and brings with him high caliber on-set leadership and organization. PAMELA JUSTICE THORNTON : EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT We welcome Pamela Justice Thornton to our team as Executive Assistant. She will work in a variety of capacities and is an inspiration to us all. In 1993 she suffered a broken neck and was a quadriplegic. Today, Pamela Justice is known as “The Little Tiger in the martial arts world. She is a 5th degree Black Belt in Karate & Taekwon-do, and is a Sifu in Ving Tsun Kung Fu. She has an incredible story and we want to help her tell it, and as Pamela brings her passion, drive and joy for life to the world of Independent filmmaking, she will help us tell our stories…In our circle Pamela is know as, ‘MASTER JUSTICE.’ |
