Logline: A Team of Scientific Paranormal Investigators have just accepted a new case: Investigate the hauntings of the town of Cassadaga (a REAL town in Florida known as the "Spiritual Capital of the World") ...but how do you disprove a haunting when the spirits are real?

Synopsis:

"All Soul's Day" (aka "Cassadaga") follows a team of Scientific Paranormal Investigators who use infrared cameras, EMF sensors, etc. to disprove and scientifically explain “haunted” places. Each member of this team has their own inner struggles as well as conflicts with each other. There is a Video Expert (a nonbeliever), an Audio Expert (firmly religious), a new comer (right out of college), a researcher (she had a failed relationship with the team leader), and the team leader, William. William had a twin brother who drowned when they were young. Now William is searching for proof that his brother is in a better place. William has spent his entire life in search of the Devil, to prove that God exists.

The team is struggling financially until a Stranger approaches William in a bar and explains a new case he has for his team. The stranger tells him about a small town in Florida called Cassadaga, “The Spiritual Capital of the World.” Every person in the town is either a registered psychic or medium and the town even boasts a vortex where their three lakes connect. This vortex is the passage between this life and the after life. (Cassadaga is a REAL town in Florida and all the above information on the town is accurate as well) The stranger offers William’s team a great deal of money for their time if they can explain why everyone in the town suffers from the same delusions.

A young journalist meets our team in Cassadaga hoping to write a story about their journey. The team sets out to disprove the supposed Spiritual activity at
Cassadaga. But how do you disprove a haunting when the spirits are real? Once in the town, the team begins to disappear one by one. They dig deeper into the history of Cassadaga and soon realize their equipment can’t help them. As the tension builds and the team’s numbers dwindle, they have a change of plans: get out alive. But how?

BLOOD-SUCKING LEECHES and FLEASH-EATING MAGGOTS

Logline: A stripper stranded in a desert town must escape the clutches of a deranged local doctor.

Synopsis: Fed up with her abusive boyfriend, beautiful Vegas stripper CANDY CARMEL (25) swipes a wad of his cash and hits the road. A nighttime car accident leaves her stranded in a desolate Nevada town, where she reluctantly agrees to let eccentric local physician DOC KRUGER (50-60) treat her cuts with leeches, despite her fear of bugs. But when her infected leg worsens, she balks at allowing him to use maggots to heal her wounds.

Stuck in town while recovering and waiting for sleazy mechanic DRAGON to fix her car, Candy carries on a flirtation with decent local cop PRESTON PARKER (30) and is drawn into a sordid relationship with a couple of local swingers, LUPE and BONGO. Fearful that her infected leg may need to be amputated, Candy reluctantly submits to the doctor's questionable maggot therapy. But Candy soon learns that many of the townsfolk have undergone similar medical treatment, with disastrous results. A recent heat wave has altered the creatures' metabolism, causing the maggots to burrow deeper and triggering erratic behavior in their hosts. Meanwhile, the leeches have been similarly affected, growing alarmingly in size and in their appetite for blood.

Candy asks Doc Kruger to remove her maggots, but instead he drugs her and locks her in his office with a cast on her leg. Realizing she’s in the care of a madman, Candy must utilize all her athleticism and stripper skills to remove the maggots from her body and escape. As the heat wave intensifies, Candy joins forces with Parker in a final battle with the now out-of-control infestation….Budget 1.5m, Status: Script Ready/Financing
